Conceived in Africa’s last kingdom and birthed in the US, the firstborn son of a farm-raised Gemini/radiologist and a country-dwelling statesman’s Aquarius chemist son, Afika was born into a global tale of two worlds. His early exposure to music and his inherited curiosity quickly led to awards, recognition, and a professional performing career before he graduated from high school he was already steadily in demand in Los Angeles’ vibrant creative community.

A move to New York to fulfill his songwriting publishing agreement led to ventures in the music, education, and visual media worlds. Upon graduating, his growing client base allowed him to set up his own studio focused on aesthetically driven visual storytelling.

Afika has been honored to work with industry-leading international brands and productions, as well as teaching at the highest level. He is always excited when projects allow him to meet new people and travel to new places.
