There are many ways to write a story: through songs, through scripts, through advertisements—I’ve done ‘em all.

Google approached us (the Creative Theory team in Washington, D.C.) to create their video celebrating Black History Month. The internal strategy team had a concept of using the theme of harmony to tell the story of the ascension of three Black men through Google. I was tasked with solidifying the concept, which included conceptualizing solo, melody, and harmony as story beats, and with liaising with Google Africa’s Chief Marketing Officer Mzamo Masito to gain stakeholder buy-in and further expand the concept. The final voiceover was written by me and performed by Mzamo.

The resulting video debuted worldwide, garnering a Webby Award in the Best Branded Corporate Social Responsibility Video category.
